Two fantastic Christmas Lights Cruise options to choose from.

Every year, during the month of  December only, the waterfront properties of Mooloolaba, Minyama, and Buddina create a wonderful Christmas light spectacle. The reality is that this is viewable only from the water. All of this is as part of the now famous Mooloolaba Christmas light parade. A parade in which up to 100 boats compete for the prize of best Christmas boat light display. Properties owners along the waters edge compete for the prize of best presented display as well. Each year they clearly pull out all stops to have a shot at first prize!

You can now choose to jump aboard Hela-Va Jet  or Crusader 1 for a 90 minute (one and a half hours) gentle cruise and experience the wonderful Christmas Lights on offer on many of the waterfront properties along the Mooloolah River and canals.

Christmas Light Cruise

Hela-Va Jet, our jet powered vessel, with its shallow draft and ability to do slow on the spot spin-turns, lets us access the canals larger boats just cannot attempt.
With no more than 12 passengers at any time, you will always enjoy total visibility of the lights.

Crusader 1, our large, stable and extremely comfortable open deck charter vessel, makes sure you get to see each and every light display at your leisure in total comfort. This cruise is about enjoying yourself with family or friends, maybe with a glass of champagne or wine, and a few nibbles laid out on the large centre table.

Also available is the the opportunity to be part of the Christmas light Boat parade!   Both Hela-Va Jet and Crusader 1 will be entered into the parade, and you can be aboard as we participate in the very exclusive event. Only one such cruise a year and spots book out really fast! This trip last approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours!! Please note that this cruise is $45.00 per person. Departure details

Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes PRIOR to your noted departure time. We would hate for the tour to depart on time should you be late and we have not heard from you! Depending on the departure time you may need to ensure you have enough time to find a car park. The skipper will collect you from the entrance to the Sunreef store which is located directly opposite the pontoon from which we depart. Please do not wait on the pontoon itself as the skipper will be mooring the vessel on its arrival and we safety is paramount for all.
2

Arrival of the boat

Once securely and safely moored, the skipper will come and get you from the meeting spot at the entrance to Sunreef and take you to the pontoon in preparation to board the vessel. He will take a picture of your group with the boat for a memento should you like it.
3

Registering

Although we are not  heading out to sea and just staying in the River and canals, each and every person coming aboard must sign in on the vessel’s passenger register, and be marked off the manifest by our crew. To this end the skipper will provide the passenger log for you to complete. Our passenger log also doubles as the indemnity waiver. Have a balance to pay for the day? This is where and when you do that part too.

The “Coast Guard & Boat Ramp” Pontoon (pontoon is located between the 2 boat ramps),
65 Parkyn Parade Mooloolaba Qld.

We depart from the “Coast Guard & Boat Ramp” Pontoon. (the Pontoon is located between the 2 boat ramps).

For a GPS use 65 Parkyn Parade Mooloolaba Qld. This is the Coast Guard address.

Please DO NOT park your car in the Boat trailer areas here but rather find a park along Parkyn Parade where parking is free and unlimited in time. Cars parked incorrectly in the Boat ramp car park are likely to be towed.

Once parked please wait at the top of the ramp to the pontoon until instructed by the crew that it is safe to come down the ramp and board the vessel.
